3.Attended a Data Validation Workshop on Human Security in Africa: Assessment and Capacity Building to Promote Sustainable Development in Kenya, at the Stem Hotel in Nakuru Kenya from the 21st to 21st March 2014 and Presented Research Findings on Human security Issues in Kenya.

4.Attended and Training Workshop and Trained Rwandan Members of Parliament on Skills of Gender Responsive Planning and Budgeting at the La Palme Hotel in Musanze on the 14th and 16th March 2014.

5.Attended and Presented a Paper on Overview of the study and research findings on Food Security in Kenya at a National Workshop on Food Security Proposals and legal Frameworks held at the Luke Hotel from the 13th to 14th March 2014.

6.Was a Guest speaker at: A women‟s breakfast and panel discussion on „Empowering Women through Education: The Journey and the Road Ahead‟ organized by the The Australian High Commission in collaboration with UNWomen on Wednesday, 5 March 2014, at InterContinental Hotel, Nairobi in preparation for the International Women‟s Day.

7.Attended a Report Writing Retreat held at the Chiromo Conference Centre from the 20th to 21st February 2014 and presented a paper titled: “Overview of the Study and Research findings on the National Status of Food Security in Kenya”, organized by the African Women Studies Centre and the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics.

8.Attended a WTO Chairs Program (WCP) 2014 Conference titled: "The Way Forward for a Successful Partnership" 11-12 February 2014 in Geneva, Switzerland.

9.Attended a WTO Chair‟s Program Research Dissemination Workshop held on the 13th January 2014 at the Chiromo Conference Centre and presented a paper titled:

Trade Liberalization and Food Security in Kenya.

10.Attended the 25th Anniversary of the AERC and the Biannual workshop from the 30th November to the 5th of December 2013 at the Safari Park Hotel.

11.Facilitated a Short Course on Gender and Trade at the Trade Law Centre at the University of Cape Town funded by the University of Adelaide from 26th to 29th of November 2013.





12.Attended a Conference on Cost Implications of Gender Gaps in the Agriculture:

Methodology Workshop from the 19th to 21st November 2013 and presented a paper titled “Cost of Gender Gaps” at the Safari Park Hotel Sponsored by the UN women and African Women‟s Studies Centre.

13.Participated in the Evaluation of the National Commission on Science Technology and Innovation Grants Research Proposals for the 2013/2014 financial year from 6th to 11th November 2013 at the KCB Leadership Centre.

14.Attended a Conference on Financing Social Protection in Entebbe Uganda from the 20-24th of October 2013 and presented a paper titled: “The impact of social protection on the welfare of vulnerable communities in East Africa: A case study from Kenya”.

15.Attended an Australian Alumni Conference titled: Leading Change: Australia Awards Alumni in Africa‟s Development” in Cape Town South Africa from the 8th to the 12th of September 2013 and presented a paper titled: “Documentatio0n of Women Experiences in Food Security in Kajiado County in Kenya”.

28.Attended a Seminar on Slum Upgrading at the Kenya Banker‟s SACCO on the 29th November 2012.

29.Was appointed a Member of the Social Economics Thematic Area in the Slum Upgrading Policy Making by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Housing.
